The latest version of DaVinci Resolve Studio 18 requires an update to the project library from version 17.4.6 and earlier versions. This update also brings new Resolve FX plugins, including a surface tracker that allows you to add effects to moving surfaces, a 3D Depth Map tool to separate backgrounds and isolate objects, as well as Ultra Beauty mode.

The update also includes improved subtitles, a 5x5 multi-view for large multicam projects, Fairlight bus conversion to FlexBus, and GPU-accelerated painting tools in Fusion. Additionally, it supports Blackmagic RAW version 2.6 and clip stabilization with AI-powered gyroscopic metadata from the camera.

It's worth noting that this version requires a DaVinci Resolve Studio dongle or software activation code.
